For the most part, when it comes to personal finance blogs, I only read them if they’re about investing or taxes. For better or worse, those are my areas of interest.
One obvious drawback of my narrow reading habits is that my roundups and other outbound links tend to exclude entire sub-topics of personal finance, despite their importance to one’s overall financial well-being.
So when Craig from Money Help for Christians recently invited me to be a part of a group he was forming (with one blogger from each sub-category of personal finance), it sounded like a natural fit.
In short, the idea is that we’ll be teaming up to share each others’ best work.
If you have a minute, I’d encourage you to take a look at each of the other blogs (in reverse alphabetical order, just to be different):
- Wealth Pilgrim (on money and relationships, among other things)
- Money Help for Christians
- Monevator (investing as well as periodic insightful musings on life)
- The Military Wallet
- Len Penzo (humor and all-around irreverence)
- Joe Taxpayer
- Green Panda Treehouse (personal finance for students and recent grads)
- Deliver Away Debt
- The Centsible Life (family, frugality)
- Canadian Finance Blog

Happy to have you on the team Mike! I love reading your index fund and ETF articles. I’m a big fan of ETFs, the Vanguards in the US and the iShares here in Canada!
Mike,
Happy to be a part of the team, if it were not for your small business tax guide I might be writing this from the local penitentiary!
lol. Good to know my work makes a difference.
Mike,
You have a gift, sir, of making very dry and boring topics like investing and taxes at least barely manageable.
Thank you.
No, but seriously, I have always loved your articles because you always seem to make difficult and confusing topics very understandable.
You’ve always been my go-to guy for investing tips and knowledge. My hope is that maybe one of these days I’ll actually be smart enough on the topic to finally leave an intelligent comment on your site (as opposed to my occasional attempt at comic relief).
Keep up the great work and I look forward to working with you!
All the best,
Len
